As soon as a room was ready, they would be happy for us to have it. Since it was only noon, I asked if there would be an early check in fee, and they assured me there was not a fee. They promised to text us when it was ready. Giving us bottles of water, storing our luggage and recommending Eatily for lunch while our room was made ready. Real people were the only option for check-in and while the room was not ready yet, they were so kind. We forgot we were in Vegas the minute the outside doors closed. Instead, we walked into a beautiful area done with chocolate velvet and gold, with chandlers, lounging sofas, big stuffed chairs and tables with flowers on them. We were used to huge, crowded areas like Caesars, chaos like at Cosmopolitan or being pushed to kiosks like at Venetian. We were greeted under the Nomad awning, at the Taxi by doormen who took our luggage and walked us right in to the check in desk. This was our first time at Nomad, although we had stayed at the old Monte Carlo and thought it was just OK. We go for the experience, pools, restaurants and fun. If you stay at this hotel, use delivery or go out to eat.ĭon't believe the bad reviews. It was clean but the room had no personality.

The suite was large but definitely worn and dated. They checked me in again and sent me to a different tower. I went back to the desk where they figured out that I should be in a one bedroom. I went to the room only to find that it was the studio suite that I had originally booked. When they gave me the room key, they told me that they had used my suite upgrade. When I arrived at the hotel, they tried to tell me that I needed to pay them $60 per night for my existing room. They should be able to confirm it at no cost.

I replied back that I had requested the upgrade using my suite nights allocation. The day before I arrived, I received an email telling me I could upgrade to a one bedroom for $60 per night. I booked a studio suite and I requested an upgrade through Marriott using my suite upgrade allocation. We stayed at the JW Marriott in Las Vegas over Thanksgiving in November.
